Kieran Allen is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at University College Dublin. His books include 1916: Ireland's Revolutionary Tradition (2016) and The Politics of James Connolly (2016).

Kieran Allen is an Emeritus Associate Professor of Sociology at University College Dublin. He has written 12 previous books and a host of both academic and non-academic articles. He has made regular appearances on the Irish media, both on television and newspapers. He has access to networks in both Ireland and elsewhere, participating in both Irish and American conferences on sociology.
