Beschreibung
This textbook reviews perioperative complications in pediatric and congenital heart surgery. Emphasis is placed on immediate diagnosis and management of operative mishaps, resolution of inaccurate preoperative diagnoses and interpretation of intraoperative conditions. While the Editors have drawn upon their vast experience in congenital heart surgery, the book also provides details on the important steps of each operation with extensive illustrations by Rachid F. Idriss, highlighting the importance of the collaboration between clinicians and medical illustrators to provide a comprehensive review of surgical complications and how to resolve them in this challenging field.

Complications in Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery contains contributions from numerous experts in their field and is primarily intended for practicing pediatric and adult congenital heart surgeons to refine their skills in this challenging area of their discipline. However, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical team members and cardiologists will find the information contained within informative given their involvement in the diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation of the procedures.
