Beschreibung
This book has been produced with a great deal of ecological correctness and presents both: Native and imported species of crayfish and other decapods. It deals with keeping and breeding the species currently available in the zoo- and delikatessen-trade in aquaria and garden ponds, as well as the associated environmental problems. This book is aimed at nature and environmental enthusiasts, as well as aquarium and garden pond owners, who would like to take a closer look at decapod crustaceans. The book reflects the author's many years of experience with keeping and breeding various crustaceans. In addition, horseshoe crabs, as well as terrestrial and brackish water crustaceans are also presented. This also includes terrestrial hermits and the so-called cockroach-crabs of the genus Aegla.

Über den Autor
The author Sven Gehrmann, born in 1969, now sees himself as a cryptographer, because in his publications he always struggles to make the invisible visible. He was born in Berlin and is now currently living in Norden near Norddeich on the coast of Lower Saxony. He has been interested in everything that lives under water since he was a child. He has always been particularly interested in and fascinated by crustaceans and fish. Since 1983, he has been an enthusiastic hobby aquarist and nature fan of our native aquatic animals, especially North Sea animals. In his cellar he keeps a collection of various preserved species. So far, he has published various articles in aquarium journals, as well as an eco-thriller, several non-fiction books about marine animals and some poetry books.
You can find him on the internet at: WWW.[...].
In his publications, he never minces his words and calls a spade a spade, since obviously no one else does. In doing so, he takes no account whatsoever of the false kind of "political correctness" that has been successfully installed everywhere here in order to preserve the appearance of decency. Nor does he profess any allegiance to any political party or direction, but only feels committed to the cause of a dying nature, that seems to escape public perception in large parts.
