My book is about holidays I have taken with immediate family, friends from school or my school career as a senior teacher all over the world, including most of the UK, nearly all Europe, Australia, South Africa, Canada and the USA. It has serious stories in it, but is mostly about things that perhaps didn't perhaps go quite as they should, and there were many little disasters. It is basically a poor man's Bill Bryson's travel around the Gordon holidays.

Über den Autor

The author is is a retired senior teacher from the Midlands in the UK, with a wicked sense of humour, not all of it related in this book. The book relates to holidays experienced by the author from a young age right into the late middle age that did not always go according to plan. Some have hilarious incidents in them worthy of a comedy [...] hero is Bill Bryson, and in no way do I get anywhere emulating him, but I did try.
