Dave Taylor began drawing comics professionally for Marvel UK after many failed attempts at being a rock star drummer. He was head hunted by DC to work on a Batman one-shot with Grendel writer/artist Matt Wagner, going on to work predominantly on Batman titles such as Batman: Shadow of the Bat (with Alan Grant), Detective Comics, Batman: Black and White and others. His collaboration with graphic designer extraordinaire Chip Kidd on Batman: Death by Designbecame a New York Times best seller (twice). Taylor's acclaimed adult only series Tongue Lashgrew from his friendship with French comic Master Jean Moebius Giraud, who Taylor also worked with on an Arzak story. He has also produced work for TV, movies and the games industry and is presently employed by the United States Space Force as an extraterrestrial translator.
