The author brings over 34 years of experience in data management and database technologies, including 26 years with Oracle and 8 years specializing in PostgreSQL. Throughout his career, he has also worked with Sybase, SQL Server, and MySQL, building a comprehensive understanding of both proprietary and open-source [...] began his career at the American Lung Association before moving into enterprise IT roles with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Compuware/Dynatrace, where he spent many of his consulting years. A brief tenure in the insurance sector with AAA further broadened his industry perspective. In recent years, he has focused on supporting enterprise clients with the transition to open-source solutions through roles at EDB and Fujitsu, where he helps organizations secure and modernize their data platforms using PostgreSQL to drive innovation led by open-source technologies.
