In the summer of 2022, a group of thirteen poets and artists from across the globe-Australia, Germany, Norway, Malaysia, and the United States-came together in Italy, united by one mission: to capture the beauty of their surroundings and experiences through the lenses of art and poetry. This collection, The Art and Poetry of Travelers, Volume 1, is the result of that extraordinary journey.

Led by R. Clift, an artist and poet herself, this eclectic group formed an instant bond, becoming what they now call "The Sunflower Poets." What began as a group of strangers quickly transformed into a close-knit community, bound by a shared sense of wonder, creativity, and vulnerability. As they wandered through Italy's enchanting landscapes, they found themselves overflowing with inspiration, their pens constantly in motion, capturing the world around them and the emotions it stirred within them.
