An issue that has not been given sufficient recognition - despite opening a new realm of opportunity to identify with the cause of Imm al-usayn (a) - is the prominent role of women. In this book, Ayatullah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim (q) approaches the revolution of Imm al-usayn (a) with a particular emphasis on the pivotal role women played during this period. Citing examples of pious women in Islamic history, the author shows how women not only participated in the actual fighting in Karbal, but also fulfilled their duties.
