Module A focuses on personal encounters in the business world. In this module you'll work on case studies about crisis management.

Topics and main language include responsibility, reassurance, blame avoidance, solutions, urgent workplace and customer-facing crisis situations, difficult news and AI-supported communication, with reassurance, understanding, paraphrasing, crisis-management phrases, urgency, apologies and diplomatic responses.

Module B focuses on day-to-day business. In this module you'll work on case studies about negotiations.

Topics and main language include reaching agreements, tricky negotiations, pressure tactics, power language, collaboration, rapport-building and clarifying deals, with rigid versus collaborative language, softened proposals and refusals, diplomatic tension reduction and assertive language for tactics.

Module C focuses on business results. In this module you'll discuss case studies about modern day entrepreneurs, and consolidate your skills in discussing important issues in English.

Topics and main language include start-ups, entrepreneurship, success factors, intellectual property, balanced argumentation, purpose, profit, justified viewpoints, challenging claims and professional discussion, with opinions, agreement, contrasting viewpoints, polite challenges, diplomatic responses, added perspective, doubt and neutral language.

Better English for better business:

  • Unique structure catering for 60-minute and/or 90-minute lessons
  • Focus on speaking and communicating in real business situations

2 course levels:

  • 3 books per level, 3 modules per book
  • Intermediate to Upper-intermediate (B1 - B2)
  • Upper intermediate to Advanced (B2 - C1)

The Hybrid Edition means that you can use both the Print Edition and Digital Edition. You'll find a licence key (for teachers and students) in the Print Edition which gives you direct access to the Digital Edition and all the digital media content on the allango learning platform.
