Beschreibung
After a severe fire, structures are often capable of being repaired rather than demolished. Majority of fire-affected buildings around the world in recent years have been demolished while others are left dilapidated. Consequently there is a persistent need for structures to be forensically assessed after fire damage in order to ensure safety and enable appropriate repairs to be planned and executed. Post-fire residual strengths of some selected fire-affected concrete buildings were evaluated using nondestructive test method. More so,simulated experiment was conducted on reinforced concrete beams in the laboratory which was used to develop mathematical models for determining the insitu strength of concrete in fire-affected buildings.
